The Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art Lens for Sony E-Mount is a full-frame wide-angle prime designed for photographers who want a versatile focal length combined with a bright f/1.4 aperture.

Part of Sigma’s Art series, the lens uses a 13-element, 11-group optical construction incorporating low-dispersion glass to help control chromatic aberration and other optical imperfections. Sigma designed the lens to minimize distortion, vignetting, flare, and ghosting while maintaining high image quality.

The f/1.4 maximum aperture provides a shallow depth of field and is particularly useful when shooting in lower-light conditions. Its rounded 9-blade diaphragm helps produce smooth, attractive background blur and bokeh.

For focusing, the lens uses Sigma’s Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM), which provides fast and quiet autofocus operation. It also supports full-time manual focus override, giving photographers additional control when fine-tuning focus.

With a 63.4° angle of view and a 30 cm minimum focusing distance, the 35mm focal length works well for environmental portraits, street photography, weddings, events, landscapes, travel, and everyday photography.

The Sony E-mount version is designed for full-frame Sony mirrorless cameras. Sigma lists the Sony E-mount version as discontinued, so availability may depend on remaining stock or the used/refurbished market.
